Vocal chamber music with piano
The art song (Lied) for voice and piano came to be in the second half of the 18th century. Haydn and Mozart were among the early composers. It became widely popular. The possibilities for a recital seem nearly endless. Due Venti offers Lieder recitals in 2 different formats: with a historical piano and with a modern piano.
LIEDER RECITAL with historical piano

In the summer of 2020 Sergio Foresti and Costantino Mastroprimiano decided to form a duo for lieder recitals. They had worked together before. Not only did they have a personal click, they found that their esthetic ideals went well together.
The use of historical instruments brings forth a different and warmer balance between voice and piano. Depending on period and place of building each instrument has its own characteristics. It is the specific piano that determines what repertoire can be best played on it (for more information: link: recitals on historical piano).
Sergio Foresti and Costantino Mastroprimiano have created several lieder programs, depending on availability of a period appropriate instrument:

- 2 special programs about a 19th century view on the past
LIEDER RECITAL with modern piano
Performers: Sergio Foresti (baritone) & Giulia Manicardi (piano)
Sergio Foresti and Giulia Manicardi know each other for a very long time. Apart from playing the piano, Giulia Manicardi is also conductor. They have worked together in several capacities.
They bring 2 programs:
- Von ewiger Liebe (Of everlasting love): Lieder of Brahms, Mahler, Strauss and Wolf
- Grand recital: A mix of art songs and operatic arias
